Diamond-anvil cells (DACs) of different kindsHide

Different types of Diamond Anvil Cells can be used for variety of teqchniques:

  • Low radial opening DACs for spectroscopy

  • High radial opening (90/120 degrees) DACs for single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction studies at synchrotron facilities

  • Non-magnetic DACs for high pressure NMR experiments

  • Side angular opening DACs for X-ray spectroscopy studies at synchrotron facilities

  • and many others...
Internal and external DACs resistive heating systemsHide

Whole cell heater:

  • Enables studies in DACs at pressures above 130 GPa and temperatures above 1200 K
  • Maintains constant pressure (within 1 GPa at megabar pressure range) and temperature (within 5 K at 1000 K) for
    several hours
  • Allows accurately temperature measurments with an external thermocouple in a whole temperature range
  • The setup does not have measurable temperature gradient within the pressure chamber
